Santo Amaro neighborhood

The Estendal team was in residence in Lagos throughout June to bring cinema to the parishes of the municipality. We presented four sessions with a program that addresses what it is to be a child, to be a migrant, and to be a woman—reflecting on the housing crisis, the need for revolution, and the value of compassion. We filmed and created with the people of each neighborhood, mixing music with cinema and transforming the screen into a space for encounter, memory, and celebration.

In this session, we explored the theme of being a child. We joined the neighborhood children to film and create, giving them a handycam, a lens through which we could understand their own world.
Filipe
filmed, Alexia danced, Jenni sang, and that's how the introduction to the Cinema on the Clothesline session was made.
