Urbanization 30 June
The Estendal team was in residence in Lagos throughout June to bring cinema to the parishes of the municipality. We presented four sessions with a program that addresses what it is to be a child, to be a migrant, and to be a woman—reflecting on the housing crisis, the need for revolution, and the value of compassion. We filmed and created with the people of each neighborhood, mixing music with cinema and transforming the screen into a space for encounter, memory, and celebration.
In this session, held in a square at the June 30th housing cooperative, we reflected on the crisis of... Housing, the notion of house and the concept of home. During the residency week, the Cine-concert "June 30th - what is a house for you?" was created, which was presented accompanied by a live soundtrack by Ricardo Jesus on saxophone and Rui Filipe Freitas on vibraphone.
